Marion Lorraine Kervin Saltmarsh died unexpectedly at the age of 88 on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Baptist Hospital. Marion, daughter of Edward James Kervin and Ann Stenson Kervin was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota on April 8, 1925. Marion was raised in Ottumwa, Iowa and it was there that she met her husband Bill when he was stationed at the Naval Air Station for flight training. Bill was a proud native of Pensacola. Marion was educated by the sisters of the Humility of Mary from first grade through Junior college, and was a faithful member of the Catholic Church all of her life
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Edna Morgan, Anne Booton, Irene Rogers, Jeannie Kervin and her husband Thomas William Saltmarsh Jr. and infant son John Brent Saltmarsh.
Marion was a devoted and loving mother.
She is survived by her 7 daughters and one son; Ann Dallmann (Pat), Patty Norrbom (Tim), Barbara Maxwell (Mike), Jeannie Saltmarsh, Thomas William Saltmarsh III (Asia), Cathy Robinson, Judi King, Terry Sullivan (Randy). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation for the public will be on Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 5PM to 7PM at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South on Beverly Pkwy.
Funeral service will be at 10 AM on Friday, April 19, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Dominic Phan Sa and Father Eugene Pathe officiating. Burial will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Trey and Brent Jones, Brandon Saltmarsh, David Norrbom, Tyler and Hunter King and Hayden Sullivan.
