Funeral service for Lonnie Collins, 68, will be Friday, April 19, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Shane Lewis officiating.
Burial will be in Valhermoso Holiness Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Collins died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born January 8, 1945, in Morgan County to George Louis Collins and Zora Elizabeth Bates Collins. Mr. Collins was a former employee of Home Pest Control as a Termite Inspector. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Lisa Collins Renz and a sister, Rachel Yates.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Duke Collins of Laceys Spring; a son, Tony Collins of Laceys Spring; adopted daughter, Jessica Renz of Laceys Spring; a sister, Georgia Shedd of Cullman; and four grandchildren, Stephanie Renz, Dusty Collins, Kandi Collins and Ashley Kuehner.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Duke, Michael Duke, Bo Truss, Nathan Truss, Rickey Lee Taylor and Dusty Collins.
