Son of Herman Jacob Fischer and Margaret Brox Fischer. Married Vera Naomi Andrews on September 27, 1916. Opened the American Lady Baking Company in 1920, in Salt Lake City on Ninth East and Ninth South streets. The bakery was moved to 1844 South State Street in 1928. After Herman's death in 1934, his wife ran the bakery.It was renamed the Fisher Baking Company.
