Mylus E. Robison, 81 of Grand Island, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Golden Living Center - Lakeview, Grand Island, NE.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013 at Apfel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Island. Apfel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mylus E. Robison was born July 22, 1931 in Cozad, Nebraska the son of George E. & Bessie (Byerley) Robison. He grew up in Cozad, graduating from Cozad Highs School with the class of 1949. He received his bachelor's degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and his masters from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln He entered the United States Navy July 16, 1952 from Great Lakes, Illinois and served until he received his honorable discharge on June 19, 1954 from Seattle, Washington. He served one year in Japan as an Aerographer.

He was united in marriage to Constance Mae Johnson on June 22, 1954 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Lincoln where both spent several years as teachers. He was with the IRS as a Civil Servant, later moving to Grand Island in 1962. In 1978 they moved to Doniphan, retiring tin 1990.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge, Keystone Lodge #62 of Phillips, Tehama Temple, Shriners in Hastings, VFW, and National Rifle Association.

He was an avid tourist and enjoyed yard work, plants, roses, feeding the birds, hunting Arrowheads' Indian Artifacts.

Survivors of the immediate family include his wife: Connie Robison of Grand Island, two sons; Jim Robison of Omaha, Nebraska and John Robison of Rapid City, South Dakota, two daughters & son in law; Janet Axt of Grand Island, NE and Joyce & Jim Porter of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters & brothers in law; Jewel & George Selk, Erma & Bill Hicken, one granddaughter, Lisa Ann Gregory.
