Rosella "Rose" Peters, 88, formerly of Brookside, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Woodlands Nursing Home, Oconto. Rose was born June 18, 1919, in Sagola, Mich., to the late Paul and Julia (Meyers) Laabs. She married Allan Peters on Feb. 19, 1940, in Brookside. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1975. Rose was a cook in the Brookside School and then at the Oconto Middle School for 38 years. Rose was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church, Abrams.

Rose is survived by a daughter, Karen (Roger) Belongia, Oconto; three sons, Roger (Virginia) Peters, Little Suamico; Eugene (Dorothy) Peters, Oconto Falls; Gary (Lynn) Peters, Oconto Falls; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by three brothers, Leonard Laabs, Lawrence Laabs, Lloyd Laabs; and one grandson, Ron Peters.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Calvary Lutheran Church, Abrams, from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Alan Klessig officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery.

The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family. On line condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
