Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott for Eunice Mouton Mire, 101, who passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Bethany Nursing Home surrounded by her family.
Entombment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Mausoleum.
Reverend Mario Romero, Associate Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Cindy Mouton Prejean and Kenneth Mouton. Karen Broussard, organist and soloist will sing for the services, "The Lord's Prayer," "Hail Mary," " Precious Lord, Take my Hand" and "I Will Never Forget You.".
She leaves to cherish her memory two nephews, Mike Mouton and Ken Mouton; one niece, Cindy Mouton Prejean; her sister-in-law, Gertrude A. Mouton; numerous great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lehman Mire; her parents, Emile and Edmae Chiasson Mouton; one brother Percy F. Mouton; and one sister, Gussie M. Bringol.
Pallbearers will be Michael F. Mouton, Mitchell Mouton, Kenneth Mouton, Brian Mouton, Cody Prejean, and Carroll Trahan.
A Rosary will be recited by Brady LeBlanc on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille's SCOTT Location.
The family requests that visitation be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
