Dorothy Lee (Nelson) Hill passed away in her home on April 21, 2010. She was born on
March 29, 1925 to William B. and Maggie R. (Evans) Nelson. She was a life-long resident
of Colorado Springs. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Prior to her
marriage to Royce E. Hill, she worked for many years at Cooper-Litke Drugs on the west
side. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 brothers and 2
sisters. She is survived by 4 children: Wanda L. Crimble (husband Michael), Michael R.
Hill (wife Karen Bush), Ronald E. Hill, and Katherine G. Hill. Other survivors include
her sisters Opal M. (Nelson) Griffin and Erma P. (Nelson) Conrad, grandchildren Dianne,
Daniel, Leslie, Bradley and Heather, 6 great grand daughters, and numerous nieces and
nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Blunt
Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to Odyssey Health Care Hospice. The family expresses sincere
gratitude to the caregivers who comforted and cared for Dorothy during her recent
illness.
