Funeral service for Lt Harry Alfred Lackey II, 29, Sanford, Fla, who was killed on May 18 in a plane crash near Cape Canaveral, Fla, will be held on Wednesday at 2 pm in the Lutz-Hoffman Funeral Home, 219 North Hanover Street.
Rev Dr Simpson B Daugherty, York, district superintendent of the EUB Church and former pastor of Grace EUB Church, and Rev Gerald D Kauffman, pastor of Grace EUB Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Kutz's Cemetery.
A Navy guard of honor is to accompany the body here.
Lt Lackey, a native of Carlisle, was the son of Mrs Anna Gilmore, Annapolis, Md, and the late Ray B Lackey, Carlisle contractor. He was graduated from Carlisle High School in 1948 and from the US Naval Academy Annapolis, in 1952. He was a member of Grace EUB Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs Betty Belle McCarthy Lackey; three children, Valerie Ann, Lawrence James and Ray B, all at home; his mother; a brother, Ensign James B Lackey, San Diego, California; a sister, Mrs Lois Hutchinson, Tokyo, Japan, and his grandmother, Mrs Amanda E Ritter, Carlisle.
