Mrs. Annie Hafford, 76, died at her home here (New Sweden) Monday after a short illness.

She was born at St. Leonard, N.B., May 3, 1890, daughter of Ephraim (1840) and Nancy (Diamond)(1854) Ryder.

She was a member of Allagash Baptist Church.

She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Lucy Caron of New Sweden, Mrs. Stella Robichaud, Mrs. Bertha Harvey and Mr.s Hannah Pelletier, all of Allagash, Mrs. Nancy Rogers of Long Island, NY, Mrs. Nora York of Lansford, PA; three sons, Ephraim, George and Kenneth all of Allagash; a sister, Mrs. Mercy Taylor of Robinson; a brother, Reuben, Sr., of Lincoln; 24 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
