Jack Eaton was the adopted son of Warren Eaton and Elizabeth Jane Markovich Eaton. Shortly after his adoption Warren Eaton passed away. Elizabeth sold pies for a living and Jack would sell pies to Louis Eseke who was a widower. Jack actually introduced Elizabeth to Louis and they eventually married.

Jack's 2nd adopted father Louis Eseke and his adopted mother Betty Markovich Eaton Eseke had one daughter together in 1933. She was born Beverly Rose Eseke who later married Richard "Dick" Waite. At this writing in 2016 both are still living in the Spokane area.

When Jack grew up he joined the Army Air Force, learned to fly, and became a Staff Sgt. During WWII he was MIA somewhere in the South Pacific (Cape Boram) on Aug. 17, 1943. His body was never found, his marker in the cemetery gives his date of death as Aug. 17, 1943 and the official papers from the government gives his official date of death as Jan. 21, 1946. The day the plane went down there were 10 other men on the plane with Jack. He was listed as a gunner.
