Richard Donald Cloud 82, Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and a good friend too many passed away April 8th, 2013. He was born to the late Andrew Jackson and Nellie English Cloud on February 11, 1931 in Artesia, NM. Don served in the US Army 16th Signal Battalion from 1951 to 1953, he lived in El Paso and retired as a district marketing director from Mountain Bell Telephone in 1981, thereafter he established and was proud owner of Trans-American Communications, Inc. from 1981 to 2000. Don touched the lives of many through his strength and guidance. Don was preceded in death by his daughter Robin and is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley; 2 sons, Drew of Denver, Colorado and Michael and his wife Yolanda of El Paso; and his grandchildren Veronica, Jeremy and wife Lee Ann, Derek, Shae and Ryan and great grandchildren; Casey and Presley. Visitation will be held from 7:00-8:00 pm, Friday, April 12, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Rescue Mission of El Paso, 1949 West Paisano Drive e, El Paso, Texas 79922.
