Clemens A. Boehm, 87, Mandan, died April 13, 2013 at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Charles Heidt as celebrant.

Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Mandan VFW Post #707 and American Legion Post #40.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 pm.

Clemens (Clem) was born on June 15, 1925 to Alex and Elizabeth (Matz) Boehm in Morton County, ND. Growing up on the farm West of Mandan, Clem attended Country School. After school he worked on the farm until enlisting in the United States Navy, serving in the South Pacific during World War II. After discharge from the Navy in 1947 Clem started his career on the Northern Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1987.

On June 9, 1948, Clem married Lucille Wickman at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mandan. After marriage they lived on the family farm until moving to Mandan in 1998. Clem's family meant the world to him, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

If he wasn't spending time at his favorite machine at the Casino, Clem enjoyed bowling, playing cards and gardening for many years. Clem also belonged to the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.

One of his proudest moments was going on the Freedom Flight with his son, Tim in September, 2010.

Clemens will be deeply missed by his wife, Lucille; daughter, Pat (Edwin) Gerhardt and son Tim (Sandy) Boehm, all of Mandan; grandchildren, Cassie (Brad Parrish), Grand Forks; Eric (Jen Stiff), San Diego, CA; Brent Gerhardt, Grand Forks; Craig Boehm, Mandan; Tracy (Randy) Follman, Inver Grove Heights, MN; Tonya (David) Markel, Mandan; great-grandchildren, Jack and Alex Parrish, Connor and Carter Follman and Kendra, Colton and Kaylee Markel; sister, Lottie Pitzer, Mandan; sisters-in-law, Irene Boehm, Billings, MT; Alice Boehm and Lorraine Boehm, both of Mandan; brothers, Frank (Angie) Boehm, Philip (Cecealia) Boehm, and Gene (Vivian Boehm), all of Mandan.

Clem was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rose Pitzer, Mary Suchy and Angie Beehler; brothers, Joe, Tom and Mike.
