Michael was a retired flooring carpenter for Nafco Flooring Co.
His is survived by his wife, Sharon G. (Burcham) Mattingly; two sons, Richard "Rick" Mattingly and Michael Dale Mattingly (Carla); two brothers, Joseph "Buster" Mattingly (Ginger) and Dr. Gerald "Jerry" Mattingly (Pam); five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Thursday from noon to 8 p.m.
