Mrs. Freeman was a 1936 graduate of Isaac Litton High School. She wed Charles "Jerry" Freeman on October 28, 1943 and was married to him for over 50 years until his death in 1999. She resided at their home in Mt. Juliet for over 40 years. Mrs. Freeman held numerous retail positions in her early career and eventually retired from the Treasurer of the State of Tennessee after 14 years of service. She was an active member of the Democratic Party of Tennessee especially during the election of Lyndon B. Johnson. She served as President for the Tennessee Federation of Democratic Women in it's early years. Mrs. Freeman was an active member of Cloyd's Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Victory Baptist Church in her later years. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Campbell Moore, Jr. and beloved niece, Gaylene Moore Worsham.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chuck Groover officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Monroe, Terry Carter, Charles Jones, Ken Cates and Jimmy Tate.
Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Bond Memorial Chapel
