Aleck was the son of Bernard Eseke and Sarah (Spring) Eseke. He married Catherine Mary Koester on Sept. 2, 1896 in Denver, CO. Mary was born on July 23, 1867 in Davenport, IA. They eloped to CO. where they married. Aleck's sister Addie lived in the Denver area.
For a time they lived in Sherborn, Minn. and than moved on to Carson City, NV. where Aleck bought a gold mine, which still remains in the family today. The name of the mine is the Edison Eske Mine.
Alex and Mary had one son Adolph Charles Eseke born on Sept. 20 1897 in Davenport, IA. Later on Adolph legally changed his name to Allan (by 1920). Allan grew up to marry Ethel J. Peterman on Apr. 6, 1921 in Winnemuccca, NV. They had 3 children Catherine Claire b. Jun. 9, 1926 Carson City, NV, married Glenn Leroy Reynolds, and passed away Jan. 28, 2001 in Alameda Co., CA. Mary Allane b. Jan. 30, 1934 Carson City, NV., married Dominic J. Giannelli, and was still living in 2012. The last child was Donna b. 1931 and d. 1933 in Carson City, NV.
Allan changed the spelling of his last name to Eske.
He passed away quietly on Dec. 18, 1988 Napa Co., CA. while napping with his cat in his lap. His first wife passed away Mar. 7, 1968 in Alameda Co., CA. Allan's 2nd wife was Frances Kaiser Swayer whom he married Mar. 29, 1969 in Fresno, CA.
Aleck and Mary moved on to CA. after the death of their daughter and lived out the rest of their lives in the Oakland area. Mary passed away after her husband, dying on Nov. 24, 1952 in Oakland and buried in Mountain View Cemetery.
