SAD DEATHS.

One of the delegates from Dayton to the Swedish Lutheran Conference at Sioux City was S.P. Lofgren. On the morning he was to start, Monday, the 10th last, his wife being sick he thought he would relieve her o care and at the same time please his twin girls Emma and Ester, by taking them along to visit relatives while he was attending the Conference. During the week they were taken sick with throat trouble and the following Monday when he was nearly to start home they were unable to travel and in the afternoon were taken worse. Tuesday morning one of them died, the other following it in the afternoon. The doctors pronounced the disease diphtheria. It was a sad procession that met the bereaved father at the depot with his precious dust on Friday afternoon and assisted at the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Lofgren have the sympathies of the whole community in their sore bereavement.
