John Tichenor
John Tichenor, 85, of Route 3, Hartford. formerly of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Thursday, October 16, at the Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital.
He was born in Ohio County and was a retired laundryman who lived in Florida for the past 20 years. He was a member of St. Petersburg United Methodist Church and a World War I veteran.
Surviving are seven brothers, Chester, Lennie and W.C. "Gabe" Tichenor, all of Hartford. Allison "Pat" Tichenor of Beaver Dam, R.C. "Sam" Tichenor of Madisonville, and Clark and Lucian Tichenor, both of Centertown.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 18, at the Miller-Scapmire Funeral Home in Hartford with burial in Centertown Cemetery.
