Jack E. McDaniel, 77 years, of Bryan, passed peacefully onto greener pastures to be with his Lord and Savior, on Monday, April 15, 2013 in his home. Jack was born November 26, 1935 in Bryan to Charles Melvin and Mildred Lucinda (Humbarger) McDaniel. He graduated from Bryan High School in 1953. He then attended the Pastor Seminary at Ashland College. Jack was a U.S. Army veteran serving as part of the team building Greenland's "City Under the Ice". He married Eileen K. Dietsch on November 17, 1962 in Montpelier, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on February 19, 2005. Jack was the pastor for four churches in Indiana. He also ministered in Nebraska before returning in Bryan in 1968. Jack worked for the ARO Corp until his retirement in 1986. His passion was to fill the pulpit on any given Sunday. Jack and Eileen had also lived in Florida, Arkansas and South Carolina where they served as a Hotel Management Team. He was a member of the Bryan Alliance Church and the Great Banquet Community. Jack enjoyed playing his accordion and watching old western movies.

Surviving are his three children, Terry McDaniel of Bryan, Cynthia (Keith) Schoonover of Bryan and Larry McDaniel of Mishawaka, Indiana; five grandchildren, Cory McDaniel and Zachariah Schoonover, Joseph Richmond, Matt and Tyson Wyse; one sister, Marilyn "Jeanie" Thompson of Bryan and one brother, Charles (Betty) McDaniel of Jackson, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Eileen and one brother, Gerald "Jerry" McDaniel.

Memorial services for Jack E. McDaniel will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2013 in the Bryan Alliance Church, 220 West Fountain Grove Drive, Bryan with Pastor Gary Keisling officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church one hour prior to the service, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Friday evening. Military Honors will be accorded by the Bryan VFW Post 2489.
