Miriam B. Heller, 69, of 490 Chris Drive, Leola, died Friday morning at home. She had been under a physician's care. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Amos F. and Marie E. Bernhart Rinier. During World War II, Heller worked at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland. In 1987, she retired from RCA after 35 years. She enjoyed traveling and gardening. Surviving are a stepmother, Beatrice Rinier of Akron; a daughter, Nancy Broderick of Leola; a son, Kenneth R. Troop of Strasburg; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Richard C. Rinier of Lancaster; and two sisters, Doris Rinier and Helen Singer, both of Lancaster. (Lancaster New Era - Aug 10, 1996)
