She was born in Choctaw County, AL, coming to Lorain in 1985. She attended Admiral King High School. She was a homemaker and a STNA for many years. She was a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Lorain, Ohio. She enjoyed cooking, card games, watching T.V., spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Johnnie Lee Alston of Lorain, Mother and Step-Father, Jettie and Tummer Alston, 5 daughters, 1 son, 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 1 brother, 4 sisters, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Frank Maye and brother, John Adam Alston.
Friends may call Friday, April 27, 2012 in the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 3900 Clifton Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44055 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. Rev. Peter Tower, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain, Ohio.
