Lillian Louise Argraves 81, of Tucson, AZ, passed away into God's hands on Friday, August 19th, 2005, at 3:33 am. formally of Presque Isle, Maine to parents Edward and Ida Gagnon. Lillian and her husband Harold were married September 27th, 1943 in Fort Fairfield, Maine.
Prior to her marriage, Lillian worked as head of the food department at the Kmart in Presque Isle. She continued this loyal service into retirement.
Harold and Lillian moved to Tucson, AZ in 1963 due to a son's respiratory illness. They enjoyed the lakes, fishing, boating, and minor league baseball. Harold played in these leagues for 14 years. The family also traveled with them during these times. Spiritually, Lillian was an outstanding church worker; instructing and caring for first through fifth graders and individuals with disabilities.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers Charley and Ted. She is survived by her husband Harold and dog Rosie; along with their four sons David (Bev), Mark (Sharon), Edward (Ruth), and Mike (Randy Lynn); 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 23rd from 5:00-8:00 pm at South Lawn (5401 S. Park St.). Funeral services for Lillian will be held at South Lawn Wednesday, August 24th at 10:00 am with Reverend Louis W. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow. Lillian has entered now into the Joy of the Lord. What a faithful Christian wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. We shall see her again.
