Vernon Ray Hynes, 55, 1425 N. Main, died Saturday at his residence.

Services will be 2 pm Tuesday at Smith Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

He was born Sep 19, 1934, in Tulsa and was a Sapulpa resident of 15 years.

Mr. Hynes was a retired City of Tulsa employee. He was a US Army veteran and a Baptist.

Survivors include wife Maggie; mother Elizabeth House of Tulsa; sons Donnie Hynes, Vernon Ray Hynes Jr., both of Tulsa, Ronnie Ritchie of Sapulpa, James Ritchie of Sand Springs and Hershel Ritchie of Tampa Victoria, Mexico; daughter Christine Ray Hynes of Sperry; brother Mike Hynes of Stroud; and sisters Elsie McAfee of Tulsa, Maxine Miller of Sand Springs and Nellie Bell Stout.
