ALLISON ANDROVETTE

Allison Androvette was the son of Abram Wesley Androvette and his wife, Eliza. He was married to Sadie L. Van Pelt in June 1906.

Allison Androvette, Pharmacist 50 years

Allison Androvette of 134 Sprague Ave., Tottenville, a past president of both the official board and the board of trustees of St. Paul's Methodist Church, Tottenville, and a druggist in his home community for a half-century, died yesterday in Richmond Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 77 years old.

Mr. Androvette, a descendant of an old South Shore family, was born in Pleasant Plains and had been an Island resident all of his life. Until his retirement in 1952, Mr. Androvette was proprietor of the Central Pharmacy in Tottenville for 50 years. He was a member of the New York State Pharmaceutical Society.

Mr. Androvette was active in other community organizations and was a past president of the Parent-Teacher Association of Tottenville High School. He also held membership in Huguenot Lodge of Masons and was a past high priest of Tyrian Chapter, Royal Arch Masons.

Mr. Androvette and his wife, Sadie L., would have been married 55 years in June. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Androvette, are a daughter, Mrs. Maybelle Stauff of 197 Johnson Ave., Tottenville; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The Rev. Charles Little, pastor of St. Paul's Methodist Church, will conduct a service Monday at 3 p.m. in the Bedell Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Rd., Tottenville. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
