Marian "Petie" Schneider Herr, age 77, of 10432 Hwy 42 Newton, died unexpectedly Friday afternoon March 10, 2006 at her home.
The former Marian Schwarz she was born March 28, 1928 in New Holstein daughter of the late John and Josephine Mueller Schwarz. She attended Holy Rosary grade school in New Holstein.
On May 29, 1946 she married Robert A. Schneider. He died March 14, 1983. On November 16, 1991 she married Frederick "Fritz" Herr at St. Isadore Catholic Church in Osman. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in School Hill, Christian Mothers Society, was a former member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, Catholic Knights Branch 68 where she served as secretary and treasurer, also bowled in various bowing league. Marian enjoyed sewing, playing cards, bowling, cooking, playing organ and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Fritz, 8 children; Joie (Jerry) Baldock of Kiel, Patt (Gerry) Schmitz of Kiel, Robert Jr. (Nancy) Schneider of New Holstein, LuAnn Hackbarth of Elgin, Illinois, Debra (John) Stoll of Kiel, Lorie (Bill) Schmitz of Medford, Wis., Michele (Brian) Roebley of Manitowoc, and Terry (Jim) Demell of Kiel, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; 10 step-children; 30 step grandchildren; and 9 step great grandchildren.
She is also survived by one brother, Greg Schwarz of New Holstein and two sisters, Arlene Heimerl of Chilton and Rose Rabe of New Holstein. She was preceded in death by one grandson, 5 brothers and sisters.
Funeral mass will be held at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel with Rev. Loren Nys SDS officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
