He is the son of Hazel Florence Martin and Clarence Oren Adamson.


Carl Martin Adamson of Montevallo, Alabama passed away from an extended illness on October 3 at the age of 83. He is a native of Lynn Haven, Florida where he was born on February 17, 1927, but spent most of his professional life in Montgomery employed by the National Weather Service as a Meteorologist. He and his first wife Ida (Duby), who preceded him in death, were active in the Heritage Baptist Church of Montgomery, where he served as a deacon. After her death in 1985, he moved to Montevallo where in 1995 he was married to Leon Lucas of Calera. He was a member of the Enon Baptist Church where he served as a deacon before being named Deacon Emeritus. Mr. Adamson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leon Lucas Adamson, a daughter Melanie Evans of Montgomery, a son Keith Adamson of Troy, and two step daughters, Carol Birchfield of Dadeville, and Jane Gaines of Newnan, Georgia. He has five grandchildren, five step grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and nine step great grandchildren. Services will be held at Enon Baptist Church, Co. Rd. 18, Montevallo on Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Visitation will be from 9:30 11:00 with the Memorial Service following at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Bill Trawick and Rev.
