Cleve Pugh
Mr. Cleve Pugh, 78, of 912 Denmark, died Sunday. He was born July 12, 1884, at Fairmont, Mo., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elliot Pugh, married Amy Watson at Mediapolis on March 27, 1907.
He was employed as custodian at St. Francis hospital for many years, and was a member of First Baptist church and the Masonic Temple in Mediapolis.
Surviving are three sons, Vernon of Davenport; James P. of Indianapolis, Ind.; and the Rev. John Pugh, Kensington, Kan.; four daughters, Mrs. Lois Warth, Denmark; Mrs. Opal Troll, Ft. Madison; Mrs. Anna Riney, Keokuk; and Mrs. Esther Nelson, Orient, Ia.; two brothers, Carl, Boise, Ida., and James, Wyaconda, Mo., 17 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. His wife and two children are dead.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Giles funeral home, with burial in Kossuth cemetery near Mediapolis.
