Nicholas A. Horton, 19, of West Seneca Turnpike, Manlius, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at his residence of an apparent cardiac arrest. Born in Oneida on June 28, 1993, he was the son of David M. Horton and Michelle DiFondi Woodcock. A lifelong resident of Canastota and Manlius, Nick was a graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School, Class of 2011 and attended Onondaga Community College. Nick was of the Catholic faith and was a baseball fan, playing from Little League through high school. He also enjoyed vacationing in Maine and spending time with his dog, Dragon. Surviving are: his mother and stepfather, Michelle and Ron Woodcock of Manlius; his father, David Horton of Oneida; two sisters, Ashton Horton of Fayetteville and Rachel Horton of Manlius; his girlfriend, Cynthia Stawicki of Manlius; maternal grandparents, Winifred DiFondi of Verona and Eugene and Valerie DiFondi of AZ; paternal grandparents, James and Julie Horton of Dryden; two stepsisters, Kelly Caltabiano and her husband, Marty of TN and Kristin Woodcock of Phoenix and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday from St. Agatha's Church, where the funeral Mass will be celebrated. Entombment will be made in St. Agatha's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Contributions, in Nick's memory, may be made to Wanderer's Rest, P.O. Box 535, Canastota, NY 13032.
