(pg. 9/col. 3) Andrew Crow Dies After Long Illness - Well Known Kenosha Man, 64, Dies at Home Wednesday After Prolonged Illness - A lingering illness of complications ended in death Wednesday for Andrew Crow, 64, at h is home, 1411 Fifty-seventh Street. Mr. Crow had been a janitor at the Central high school for 15 years prior to his illness and he was widely known to students and teachers for a score of years.
Six years ago, Francis Crow, 21, the only child, died after a two days' illness and his passing bowed Mr. Crow with grief. Since then he has been in failing health. He was born in Belmont, Wis., in 1864 where he grew to manhood on his father's farm.
In 1898 [20 Jan Chicago, IL], he married Mary Gallegan, a well known resident here and whose parents were pioneers of Kenosha. They resided on the Crow homestead until 1904 when the family moved to Kenosha to live here ever since. While a janitor at the Central High school, Mr. Crow established a legion of friends through his splendish service and kindly attitude with all he came to know.
Mr. Crow is survived by his widow and three sisters and a brother:Mrs. George Buss, Belmont, Wis., Mrs. Melissa Collins, Mineral Point, Wis.,Mrs. Joanna Kluck, Cuba City, Wis., and Frank Crow, Chicago, Ill.
The body was removed to the home from the Crossin funeral home late today and funeral sernices will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at St. James church. Burial will be in St. James cemetery.
