Tammy Harter Terry, 37, of 432 Hidden Valley Drive, Martinsville, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
She was born May 9, 1972, in Martinsville to Ruby Wilson Harter and Billy James Harter. She was preceded in death by a sister, Penny Sue Harter.
She was a member of Collinsville Church of the Brethren and worked for the Martinsville Henry County Department of Social Services as an eligibility worker.
In addition to her mother and father of Bassett, surviving are her husband, David Brent Terry of the home; a daughter, Anna Brooke Terry, and a son, Matthew Kenneth Terry, both of the home; and a brother, Tony Randall Harter of Axton.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Norris Funeral Services with Pastor Roy McVey officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1079 Spruce St., Martinsville, Va. 24112.
