Vivian Lillian Cox 89 of Joplin, passed away on Sunday April 14, 2013 at a local Health care center.

Born October 7, 1923 in Lake Andes So. Dak. sh was the daughter of the late Fedrick Krokaugger and Mary H.Blaha Krokaugger. Her former husband James H.Cox,he preceded her in death February 1979.

She retired from the State Employment Office with 30 years of service. During World War II she was a draftsman for an aircraft plant is San Diego. She also worked several years for the Pacific Mercury Corporation of Joplin. Family was always the focus of her attention. All four of her children graduated from college and she was a great source of encouragement for al of her grandchildren. She was also a Master Gardner and involved in Town and Country Quilters.

Survivors include two daughters, Jeanie Morrison and Will Wilkerson of Joplin, Penelope Aldrighetti and husband Todd of Joplin, two sons, Gregory Cox and wife Dianne of Lancaster PA. Kenneth Robinson and wife Valery of Cloud MN. 12 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-7p.m. Thursday at Parker Mortuary. The body has been cremated. Private interment will be at Osborne Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
