THURSDAY, JULY 11, 1895 BLOOMFIELD-DAVIS CO., IOWA
Mrs. Margaret J. Taylor, Boyd was born June 9, 1813 in Warren county Ohio; died June 16, 1895 in Davis county, Iowa, aged 82 years and 7 days. She was married June 24, 1830, in Fayette county, Indiana, to Robert C. Boyd, by whom she had five children, three sons and two daughters. The sons are living; James P. Boyd in Montana, John S. Boyd in Davis county, Iowa, and Robert S. Boyd in Utah. The daughters preceded the mother to the eternal home. The husband died August 9, 1871. She has living 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was attended at the Shunem Presbyterian church of which she had been a member for 30 years. The pastor, Rev. J.W. Stark, choosing for the occasion the very appropriate text, Job 5:26: "Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in his season."
