John married first Harriet Dilts about 1805
John married second Roxanna Shippy about 1825.

John Jr. married Harriet (Mary) Dilts, probably before they migrated to the Niagara area. John Jr. fought in the war of 1812-14. They apparently moved to Kent County, Howard Twp., near Morpeth as there is evidence to show they were living there by 1816. On at least one occasion we know they visited the St. Thomas area as they were sponsors at 4 baptisms on September 10, 1824. Their son, John and his wife Sarah Parker who lived in Yarmouth had their children, John, Jane, Sophia and George baptised on that date at the Old Anglican Church. Harriet died in 1824 at Morpeth and John Jr. married a second time to Rosanna Shippey, daughter of Zebulon Shippey. Later John Jr. moved to Malahide Twp. in Elgin County in 1841. He died February 1848 aged 73 years and Rosanna had two sons - William and Henry B. William born in 1826 married Amanda Powers. Henry born June 28, 1835 married on December 25, 1854 to Sandra (or Sarah) Kennedy. Letter included in revised edition of Jean I. Griffin Book 1981 (Nov 2001)

In 1816, John Parker 2nd, moved with his family to Howard Township, Kent County, settling on the lake shore where he took up 400 acres of land, a reward for his services to the government. On this lakefront property, he erected a log house and in it he resided for about 25 years, clearing up a good portion of his farm. He traded this one for a farm in Malahide Township, Elgin County, where he and his wife spent their remaining years. He died there in February 1848 and his wife passed away in 1861. (gs for John gives he died in 1847)
In religious matters they were Universalists, and took an active part in the work of the denomination. His political views were those of a reformer. - Taken from "Commerative & Biographical Book of Kent Co." 1904 by Henry B. Parker included in the revised edition of Jean I. Griffin Book 1981.
