Harry Elwood Kimmel, former resident of Hegins Township, and more recently of Herndon RD, died early Thursday evening at his home. Born March 1, 1890, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kimmel. He worked in the mining industry and later became a farmer.
Harry was married twice. His first wife, Katie Klinger, died 30 years ago. He is survived by three sons and two daughters from this first marriage. In 1920 Harry married Carrie Morgan, formerly of Donaldson, who survives. He is survived by three sons and five daughters of this second marriage. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Emerson of Ashland RD; Rufus of Hegins RD; Elmer of Big Mine Run; and Mrs. Clifford [Carrie] Klinger of Valley View.
