Laura was the daughter of Samuel SAVIDGE/SAVAGE and Mary BOYER, and was born in Hegins Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA. Her siblings included: Mary [Alice?], William, Harrison "Harry", Susan, George, Jennie, James, Katherine "Katie", Frank, Charles [Daniel?], and Maude.

It appears that Laura was married twice. Her 1934 marriage application says that she was divorced. Notes on the bottom of the application appear to be: "C of C Pleas of Sch. Co. #245" "Sept term 1934?" "Disertion" (sic). She appears to have been married to a Mr. HEIM with whom she had at least one child, Guy Heim. Online trees indicate her first husband was named Charles Heim.

Laura was married to Rufus Monroe KIMMEL on December 31 1934 in Hegins, Schuylkill Co., PA. Laura and Rufus appear to have had six children together.

Her obituary said that she was survived by seven sons, two daughters, twelve grandchildren, five sisters, and six brothers. At least one son and one daughter listed in Laura's obituary were children of Rufus Kimmel and his first wife, Pearl.
