Bastrop - Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Golden Funeral Home here for M M Hewette Sr, 92, of Bastrop.
The Rev. Neely Shinn, will officiate, with burial in Carter Cemetery at Collinston.
Mr. Hewette, a lifelong resident of Morehouse Parish, died Tuesday at Hickory Manor Nurshing Home after a brief illness. He was formerly employed by Missouri Pacific Railroad.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. W M Braddock, Mrs. Dorothy Florence, both of Bastrop, and Mrs. A J Mosely of Annandae, Va; three sons, M M Hewette Jr of Georgetown, James B Hewette of Carbondale, Ill, and Charles R Hewette of New Orleans; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Pete Ellis, Billy Shepherd, Willard Wallace, Tom Braddock, Buddy Wallace and Jim Braddock.
