Mrs. Grace Seeley Hyde
On the 14 inst. after a severe illness, borne with heroic cheerfulness, and courage, the deceased passed to the land where pain nor sickness ne'er shall enter. She leaves a devoted husband Mr. Grant Hyde and three little daughters, the youngest, an infant three months old, also her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Seeley and one sister, Mrs. Cornelia Tottill.
She was born in Somerset, N. Y., Sept. 10, 1877 and was married to Mr. Grant Hyde, April 23d 1902. All her brief life has been passed in this community. Her many winning qualities made her deservedly a great favorite not only in her family circle, but in the entire community.
Funeral services were held at the house Thursday, at 2 p. m., the Rev. L. J. Gross conducing them, the Rev. M. R. Chapman assisting. Mrs. S. W. Frost sang an appropriate selection. The bearers were George Garbutt, George Foote, Romyne MacClay, Elwyn Fox, Glenn Nellist and Harry Bennett. The casket was covered with flowers, the living tributes of relatives and friends. Many followed the remains to their last resting place in Somerset cemetery.
Farewell1 The friend beloved sleeps;
Taken, Alas! Yet doubly given:
Her life undimmed its pathway keeps
One course alike in earth and heaven.
