Effie Cannady Collins, 99, died Tuesday April 12, 2005 at Metter Nursing Home. She was born in Emanuel County and has lived all her life in Candler County. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church. In earlier years, she was a member of the Aline Demonstration Club, the Keenagers and an avid gardener. Her greatest pleasure was in doing things for others. She was the widow of Brooks Collins.
