Harvey Clifford Millar, 89, of Pleasant Grove passed away Wednesday, December 4, 1996 in Orem of causes incident to age.

He was born November 24, 1907 to Alexander Leonard and Nancy Elizabeth Green Millar in American Fork, Utah. He was married and sealed to Pauline Scofield on Sept. 12, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He grew up in Lindon and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. He later attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a B.S. and a Masters degree in 1932. He received a Ph.D in Chemistry from Iowa State College, Ames, Iowa in 1936. Following graduation, he worked for Chevron Corporation. For the last 48 years, Harvey has lived in Pleasant Grove, Utah where he built and managed Geneva Food and Chemical Company and owned and operated a fruit orchard.

He is survived by his wife of Pleasant Grove and one daughter and two sons: Yvonne Ashdown, Derrill Millar and Paul Millar; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 500 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment: Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
