Ann Elizabeth Kerley Tyler, age 39, of Columbia, S.C., died Thursday, January 20, 2005. She was born in Nashville, Tenn., October 31, 1965, the daughter of Sidney Etta Earp Kerley and the late Horace Arthur Kerley. An honor graduate of Northeast High School in Columbia, S.C., she graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Nursing. She was employed at the William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute. Mrs. Tyler was a member of Shandon Baptist Church, where she served as the director of the Girls in Action Missions program. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Sidney G. Earp and Etta Sweet Earp, and her paternal grandparents, D.P. and Mae Johnson Kerley of Taylorsville.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Charles Patrick Tyler of the home; one son, Kyle Andrew Tyler of the home; two daughters, Kirsten Elizabeth Tyler and Morgan Sweet Tyler, both of the home; one brother, Rev. Daniel Paul Kerley and wife Lesa of Eustis, Fla.; one sister, Janet Kerley Shelley and husband Michael of Columbia, S.C.; two nephews, Joshua and Reid Kerley; and a niece, Grace Ann Shelley.
