Maude Ethel (Seaton) Kennard – December 6, 1878 – June 8, 1964

MAUDE E KENNARD
Charles City – Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Hauser Funeral Home here for Mrs. Maude E. Kennard, 85. A life-time resident of the Floyd area, she died Monday afternoon at the Chautaqua Guest Home where she had been a patient the last year.

Her husband, Charles Bird Kennard, preceded her in death, May 5, 1948. The death of Mrs. Kennard marked the end of a 49 year period in which there were five generations living in her family.

Maude Ethel Seaton was born December 6, 1878, at Floyd, the daughter of George and Clara Buckley Seaton. She was married July 4, 1894. She is survived by a daughter; Mrs. Forrest (Blanche) Thompson, rural Charles City; a grandson, two great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; and a sister; Mrs. Clara Elfers, Charles City.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery near Floyd.
