Howard Carson Morrison - age 84 of Lenoir City passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force and Navy after 21 years of service. Howard was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he had been a Deacon since 1973.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Allison Morrison for whom he was a faithful care giver for 16 years; parents, Joseph R. Morrison and Irene Smith Morrison; sister, Juanita Russell, and brothers, James and Kenneth Morrison.


Survived by children, Karen Morrison Smith and Joe Morrison and wife, Lisa; grandsons, Cameron Smith and Ethan Morrison; several nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Friendship Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Mike Hawkins and Rev. Jimmy Riner officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services.
