A service will take place at Promised Land Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Willie Byrd, Jr. Interment in Orange Grove Cemetery, Chamberlain, La.
Survivors include one son, Jusha Ransom; sisters, Deloris Byrd, Gracie Batiste and Doris Porter; brothers, Milton Byrd, Sr., Clifford Byrd, Phillip Byrd; loving companion for 17 years, Clarie Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends; 1 uncle, Henry Williams; 2 aunts, Rosie Lee Hunter and Lucille Williams.
