Lansing: Brandy S. Beaumont Reeves, 40, of Lansing, died unexpectedly on April 11, 2013. Born May 27, 1972 in Fort Belvoir, VA, she was the daughter of Thomas and Nancy (Senecal, Peacock) Beaumont. She is also survived by her husband, Jay William Reeves; stepfather, Charles Peacock, Jr., stepmother, Patricia Beaumont; and mother-in-law, Janet Reeves; her stepchildren, Jessica and Josh Reeves; her siblings, Stacey Beaumont, Lisa, Chuck and Todd Peacock; brother and sisters-in-law, Randy Reeves, Cindy Reeves, Kathy (Jeff) Snyder and Laurie (Glenn) Fenner; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brandy was a graduate of St. Andrews High School in Charleston, SC and received a degree from The University of South Carolina. She worked for many years at Cornell University. Brandy's love for family, friends, Harley-Davidsons, and the great outdoors were her greatest passions. She will forever be remembered as a kind and thoughtful person. She was the first to send a card, bake a cake or mow your lawn...when you needed a helping hand, there was Bran. Private services will be held at the family's request at Shurtleff Funeral Home. Interment will be in Saint Anthony's Cemetery, Groton, NY. Friends are welcome to visit the family at The Elm Tree Inn at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16.
