Terry A. Womack, 56, of Alexandria, LA passed away at home on Sunday, April 14, 2013, after a lengthy illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church, Alexandria, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013, in Alexandria with Father Craig Scott officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday with a Christian Wake Service at 6 p.m. Tuesday and on Wednesday prior to the service from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at John Kramer & Son, Alexandria. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville, LA.

Terry was born in Shreveport, LA on July 25, 1956. He graduated from Fair Park High School in 1974 and continued his education at Northeast Louisiana University (ULM) earning a Doctorate in Pharmacy in 1979.

Terry began his career at Lewis Pharmacy in Shreveport. He then moved to Alexandria where he began 27 years of employment at Rapides Regional Medical Center. He held positions as staff pharmacist, Assistant Director, and Director of Pharmacy. Terry was currently working at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital as Assistant Pharmacy Director, a position he held since 2009. Over the years, he did relief work at Pearson's Drug, Central LA Ambulatory Surgical Center and Walgreens. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as his three miniature schnauzers; Heidi, Trixie and Sophie. In his spare time he worked in his yard, coached Dixie Girls softball, and played golf.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karen Lee Womack; his daughter, Katie Elizabeth Wright and her husband, Drew; his sons, Stuart Thomas Womack and his wife, Brooke; and William Philip Womack; his three grandchildren; Gage Cutter Wright, Addyson Leigh Wright, and Ava Kate Elizabeth Wright, and a grandson due to arrive in July, Grayson Kieffer Womack, all of Alexandria. He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Walsh Womack of Shreveport, his sister, Kathy Womack Butler and her husband, Jeb, of Ruston, LA, and his sister, Carol Womack Robertson and her husband, Richard, of Greenwood, LA, and three nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Dolton Womack, of Shreveport and his brother, Michael Andrew Womack, of Ruston.

Serving as pallbearers are Jeb Butler, Cameron Collins, Tripp Dungan, Jude Lemoine, Clint Murphy and Richard Robertson. Honorary pallbearers are Pat Ervine and the pharmacy staff at Cabrini Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the Cabrini Cancer Treatment Center, 3330 Masonic Dr, Alexandria, LA 71301 and St. Rita Catholic Church Building Fund, 3822 Bayou Rapides Rd
Alexandria.
