JOE H. ERWIN

JENKS — Joe H. Erwin, 63, Jenks, died Monday at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa.

Services are scheduled for 11 am Thursday at Smith Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

He was born Aug 8, 1926, in Muskogee, and attended Muskogee and Sapulpa High Schools and Oklahoma State University and the University of Tulsa.

Mr. Erwin was owner of Jenks Oil Enterprises, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He served as a paratrooper, received the rank of Mast Sergeant and received the Silver Star.

Survivors include wife Delaine; son Jeff Erwin of Jenks; daughter Janis DeMarco of Tulsa and Julie Sheats of Jenks; and two grandchildren.

The family suggest donations be made to the American Lung Association.

Burial was at Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Casket bearers were Dan Rosato, David Owenby, Mike Memer, Gary Fuqua, John McCall, and Ken Kulenski.

Mr. Erwin, a resident of Jenks since 1969, died Monday at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa after an extended illness
