FULTON - Homer Ezell Moore, 89, died Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born October 9, 1923, to Homer B. and Mary Lee Murrell Moore. He worked for Purnell's Pride and Krueger Metal. He was a member of Riverhill Baptist Church. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was an avid fisherman and loved his dogs, listening to Bluegrass Gospel music, and watching old westerns.

Services with military honors will be at 1 p. m. Friday, August 9, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Brent Norris officiating. Burial will be in the Keyes Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Lydia J. Moore; one son, Brian Moore; one daughter, Betty Dillard (Ken), all of of Peppertown; one step-son, Billy Shelton, Jr., (Sandra) of Plantersville; one sister, Arlene Shedd, of Peppertown; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great granchildren, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 55 years, Frances Donald Moore, in 2001; one daughter, Mary Ann Moore Wilburn; two brothers, Durrell Moore and Daryon Moore; and two grandsons, Blake Pounds and Richie Wilburn.

Pallbearers will be Alan Moore, Frank Murrell, Jr., Greg Tutor, Terry Steele, B. J. Shelton, and Eric Hoyle.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p. m. Thursday and will continue until service time Friday at the funeral home.
