Stacy Carter, 49, of Columbia, Kentucky, passed away suddenly Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 7:38 p.m. at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room from injuries received earlier in an automobile accident seven miles east of Columbia, Kentucky, on Ky. 206.

She was born on August 10, 1963 in Yuma, Arizona, the daughter of Tena Wilson Hoey of Nancy, Kentucky, the daughter of Virl Chapin, Sr.

She had two sons, Waylon Coe of Lexington, Kentucky, William Carter II of Columbia, Kentucky; three daughters, Latisia Hefflin of Palatine, Illinois, Maranda Carter of Columbia, Kentucky, Carrissa Carter of Columbia, Kentucky; two half-sisters, Crystal Hoey of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Cynthia Cavezza of Eugene, Oregon; three grandsons and one niece.

She is survived by her fiance, Ronnie Burton of Columbia, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Virl Clayton Chapin, Jr., in 1996.

Funeral services will be on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Todd Akin officiating.

Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery.

The family requests visitation after 4 p.m. today at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
