The Cornell Family Lot and Mausoleum
[NOTE: Most burials here are not memorialized by any currently visible or legible stone or inscription. A list of lot residents, with burial dates, appears at the end of this caption.]
Inscription around cornice of mausoleum:
Tomb of the family of John Cornell
Erected by his widow A.D. 1848
The 6 small white stones to the right of the structure memorialize members of the same family, and are inscribed, from left to right (with notes):
1: W. J. Cornell
NOTE: This is Whitehead J. Cornell (7/26/1796 –9/17/1846), buried here 6/24/1847.
2: Juliet Cornell
NOTE: This is Juliet Hicks, wife of Whitehead J. Cornell (1804-1/12/1894).
3: Eliza H. Duyckinck
NOTE: This is Eliza Hicks Cornell Duyckinck (1825-1881), daughter of Whitehead J and Juliet Hicks Cornell, wife of Richard Bancker Duyckinck (1815-1913), who is not buried here.
4: John H. Cornell
NOTE: This is John Hicks Cornell (10/21/1829 –2/27/1886), son of Whitehead J. and Juliet Hicks Cornell.
5: Sarah L. Cornell
NOTE: This is Sarah Lefferts Cornell (1833 – 9/2/1871), wife of John Hicks Cornell, daughter of James Lefferts. She died at White Bear Lake, Minnesota and was not interred here until 1877.
6: Juliet D. Man.
NOTE: This is Juliet Duyckinck Man (1853 – 8/31/1906), daughter of the aforementioned Eliza and Richard Duyckinck, wife of Walter Man.

Farther to the right and almost invisible is a small, round, flat marker inscribed: Richard and Edward. They are Richard and Edward Duyckinck, sons of Eliza Hicks Duyckinck and her husband Richard Bancker Duyckinck (1815-1913, not buried here).The boys were moved from prior graves and reinterred here April 10, 1851.
