Ruth L Sass, age 84, of Madison, died after a short illness on Thursday, July 11, 2002. She was born to Roy and Otillie Smith in Mauston, WI, on Sept 4, 1917.
She resided in Madison for more than 39 years. Throughout her life she enjoyed spending time at the family farm whith her husband of 65 years. Her greatest enjoyment in life was to be with her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; her parents; a brother, Welton Smith; and a sister, Delores Chanp.
She is survived by a daughter; and a son; four grandchildren; a step-grandchild; and four great-grandchildren; several brothers and sisters; and a sister-in-law; many other in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Burial wil be in St Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Reedsburg.
