Clarence Lorenzo Dill a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, was born in Memphis, TN on May 7, 1919. He moved to Detroit when he was 16. He later graduated from Cass Technical High School. Clarence served his country during WWII as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army. After WWII Clarence worked as an Inspector for GM Fisher Body. He also ownedand operated his own record and electronic repair shop (Dill's Records and TV), which was located on 14th Street and Ferry Park. He was united in matrimony to Melvin Elizabeth Knowles of Birmingham, AL (who passed away on February 15, 2005). To this union 5 children were born, Clarence Jr. (died at birth), Ellen Renee, Jacqueline Denise, Wanda Elizabeth, and Clarence Anthony. Dill's was closed after his untimely death on July 24, 1977. He leaves behind to mourn his passing his children listed above, his grandchildren (Jacinta, Christopher, Crystal, Anthony, Trey, Taylor, and Troy), and great grandaughter - Alexis, and a host of other relatives and friends.
